Performance Tuning
We offer custom performance tuning and ECU remapping to fit your individual needs, making sure each remap is optimised for your car's make and model. We use the latest technology and equipment for accurate and effective tuning.
Performance tuning comes in various levels and whilst there is no industry standard, these levels are often referred to as stages.
What are the stages of engine tuning?
Whilst stages are not a universal standard of tuning, and no two tuners will necessarily give you the same thing for each “stage” of tuning. A general guide is that a stage represents a set of upgrades fitted to a car.
As you might expect, a ‘stage’ is how far you’ve gone with your tuning upgrades.
Car tuning – Stage One
Stage one tuning involves upgrades to a car without major mechanical changes, like a cat-back exhaust or air filter. It's a near-stock setup enhanced by ECU remapping.
Car tuning – Stage Two
Stage 2 means a car is better tuned and upgraded compared to Stage 1, with both mechanical and software improvements. However, the meaning of each "stage" can differ between cars and tuners.
Car tuning – Stage Three
Stage 3 for one tuner on a turbocharged car can differ from stage 3 on a naturally aspirated car. There are no strict definitions for Stage 2 or 3 setups; they vary by vehicle. Generally, Stage 2 usually means some upgrades, while Stage 3 involves major changes. Such modifications need dyno tuning and data logging to ensure proper calibration.
